Fukuoka Airport has a total of 7 lounges across its domestic and international terminals, divided into three types: “card lounges,” “airline lounges,” and “Priority Pass-compatible lounges.”

To get straight to the point: the only lounge you can use after arrival, while waiting to be picked up, is “Lounge TIME/North” on the 1st floor of the domestic terminal. After security screening, your options include the lounges for JAL and ANA elite members, as well as “Lounge Fukuoka” and the “KAL Lounge” in the international terminal.

In a previous article, we noted that the international terminal’s “Lounge TIME International” was temporarily closed, but it has since resumed normal operations. Since that information was outdated, we’ve updated this article with the latest details.

“Lounge TIME/North” is the only card lounge at Fukuoka Airport that can be used after arrival. Since it’s located before security screening (1st floor of the domestic terminal), you can use it right after arriving, or after collecting your luggage on the way back from a business trip, whenever you want to take a break before your next move.

Lounge TIME/South (Domestic Terminal 2F, After Security)

• Location: Domestic Terminal, 2nd floor (inside the boarding lounge)
• Hours: 6:00 AM–9:00 PM (open year-round)
• Fee: Adults ¥1,100 (tax included), children (ages 3–12) ¥550, free for children under 3 / free with an eligible gold card
• Seating: 180 seats (172 non-smoking, 8 smoking; smoking seats are hip-bar style)

Starting August 1, 2025, Sumitomo Mitsui Card gold cards and above have also become eligible for use here. It has more seating than the North lounge and slightly longer hours, staying open until 9:00 PM. Note that there is no shower room available. Phone calls and remote meetings are not permitted in the seating area, so use the phone booth if needed.

Even non-elite members can pay to use JAL Sakura Lounge for ¥3,000 (same-day cash payment only). Alcoholic beverages (beer, shochu, whiskey) and snacks are provided free of charge, and it sometimes serves croissants from Fukuoka’s own “Mikazukiya” as a light snack.

The Diamond Premier Lounge caters to members even more elite than those of the Sakura Lounge, offering JAL’s special baked curry bread, and showers and massage chairs at some facilities.

ANA Airline Lounges

ANA LOUNGE can be used for a fee of ¥4,000, but it’s reservation-only (by 6:00 PM the day before), and same-day use is not available. This differs from the same-day cash payment system at JAL Sakura Lounge, so be sure not to forget to book in advance.

The ANA Lounge connects directly to its own dedicated security checkpoint, so you can enter with virtually no wait even when the general security checkpoint is crowded. Desks are partitioned individually, making it an environment well-suited for focused laptop work. ANA SUITE LOUNGE also offers light snacks, providing an even more enhanced service than ANA LOUNGE.

International Terminal Lounges

The international terminal has three lounges: the card lounge “Lounge TIME International,” and the Priority Pass-compatible “Lounge Fukuoka” and “KAL Lounge.” All three are located within the restricted area after departure immigration.

Lounge TIME International

As mentioned at the top of this article, this lounge was previously listed as temporarily closed, but it is now operating normally. However, it cannot be used after arrival. Since it’s located within the restricted area after departure immigration, it is only available before departure.

Lounge Fukuoka

• Location: International Terminal, 4th floor (after departure immigration)
• Contracted airlines: Numerous business class passengers and elite members from EVA Air, Air Busan, Air China, China Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Asiana Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Singapore Airlines, T’way Air, Vietnam Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, STARLUX Airlines, VietJet Air, Thai Airways, Hong Kong Airlines, and more
• Other access: Priority Pass (entry may be restricted due to space constraints)

Renovated and reopened in September 2024, it is now roughly twice as spacious as before. A distinctive feature is the buffet-style offering of local Fukuoka specialties like mentaiko (spicy cod roe) and kashiwa gohan (chicken rice). It’s also equipped with a nursing room, making it family-friendly. If using this lounge with a Priority Pass, keep in mind there’s a maximum stay limit of 3 hours.

KAL Lounge

• Location: International Terminal, 3rd floor (in front of Gate 56)
• Hours: 2 hours before Korean Air departure time to the scheduled departure time (only on operating days)
• Seating: 32 seats
• Usage conditions: Korean Air First Class and Prestige Class passengers, SkyTeam elite members, Priority Pass members (up to 2 people free)
• Free services: Soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, light snacks (cup noodles, sandwiches, etc.)

The KAL Lounge opens and closes according to Korean Air’s flight schedule, so it cannot be used on days or during times when no flights are operating. If you plan to use it, it’s a good idea to check the flight schedule in advance.

If You Want Easy Access with a Gold Card

If you have an eligible gold card, you can use “Lounge TIME” (North, South, and International) for free. For domestic flights, you can choose between North, which is usable both after arrival and before departure, and South, which is after security and closer to the boarding gates. Even without a card, anyone can use them for ¥1,100.

If You Want to Enjoy Alcohol

JAL Sakura Lounge and ANA LOUNGE offer free beer, shochu, whiskey, and more. Even if you’re not an elite member, JAL Sakura Lounge is accessible for ¥3,000 (same-day cash payment), making it a great option for those who want to easily experience a lounge with alcohol.

If You Want to Use a Priority Pass on International Flights

Lounge Fukuoka and KAL Lounge are the two options available. Lounge Fukuoka, in particular, was just renovated in September 2024 and offers appealing local cuisine and enhanced facilities. Keep in mind that the KAL Lounge may not be usable at certain times depending on Korean Air’s flight schedule, so checking in advance is essential.

For Those Traveling with Children

“Lounge TIME/North,” located before security, lets you relax without worrying about boarding time, and you can easily step out to the general area if it gets crowded. For international flights, “Lounge Fukuoka,” which is equipped with a nursing room, is also a good option.
