Naha Airport’s lounges fall broadly into two categories — “card lounges” and “airline lounges” — and which ones you can use depends on whether you’re before or after security screening.
The short answer: the only lounge you can use after arrival, while waiting to meet someone, is “LOUNGE HANA,” located before security. It’s free with a gold card, or ¥1,320 without one. After security, your options are the elite-member lounges run by JAL and ANA respectively, or the international lounge “Lounge Ryurin.”
This article’s information is current as of August 2026. Prices and hours are subject to change, so please check each lounge’s or the airport’s official website for the latest details.
Naha Airport Lounge Basics: Card Lounges vs. Airline Lounges
Naha Airport’s lounges fall broadly into two categories: “card lounges” and “airline lounges.”
| Item | Card Lounge | Airline Lounge |
|---|---|---|
| Eligibility | Gold card or above, or paid entry | Elite members, premium-class passengers, etc. |
| Location | Before security (public area) | After security (restricted area) |
| Soft drinks | Free | Free |
| Alcohol | Paid | Free (some lounges) |
| Light meals | Paid or not offered | Varies by lounge |
| Wi-Fi/power outlets | Available | Available |
Naha Airport has six main lounges:
- Domestic, before security: LOUNGE HANA
- Domestic, after security: JAL Sakura Lounge, Diamond Premier Lounge, ANA LOUNGE, ANA SUITE LOUNGE
- International, after security: Lounge Ryurin
There’s also a reservation-only VIP facility called the “Premium Gate Lounge” for business jet passengers, but it isn’t intended for general travelers.
As of August 2026, Naha Airport has no lounges that accept Priority Pass. Neither LOUNGE HANA nor Lounge Ryurin honors Priority Pass, so Priority Pass members will need to bring a separate gold card or access a lounge through airline elite status instead.
Also Great for Post-Arrival Waits: LOUNGE HANA

The only lounge at Naha Airport usable after arrival is “LOUNGE HANA,” located before security. On February 24, 2026, it relocated and was renovated, moving from the 1st floor to the 4th floor of the domestic terminal, and its seating capacity grew by about 2.5 times. Even after the move, it remains before security (outside the restricted area), so it can be used both before departure and after arrival.
- Location: Domestic Terminal, 4th floor
- Hours: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
- Price: Adults ¥1,320 (tax included), children (ages 3–11) ¥660 (tax included); free with an eligible gold card
- Shower: ¥1,500 (tax included, entry fee required separately, last entry 7:00 PM)
Since the move, the lounge is an open space with sweeping views of the runway and the sea, and now includes phone booths, remote-work desks, lockers, and a new kids’ space. Soft drinks include an Okinawa-style lineup like shikwasa juice and mango juice, and alcoholic drinks (Orion Beer, awamori, wine, etc.) are available for a fee. Wi-Fi and power outlets are available at every seat.
Eligible gold cards include American Express (Gold and above), Diners Club, Visa Gold/Platinum, JCB Gold and above, Mastercard Gold and above, d Card GOLD, and Rakuten Premium Card, among others. Only the cardholder gets free entry; companions pay the adult rate of ¥1,320.
Lounge vs. Cafe: Which Is Better for Killing Time Before Boarding or After Arrival?
Many travelers wonder whether it’s worth paying ¥1,320 to enter a lounge, or whether a cafe will do.
If you have more than an hour to wait before boarding, a lounge can offer better value than an airport cafe once you factor in unlimited soft drinks, Wi-Fi, and power outlets. On the other hand, if you want something quick and cheap for a few hundred yen, or you’re only stopping briefly, a cafe is the better fit.

Domestic Airline Lounges: JAL Sakura Lounge & Diamond Premier Lounge
Naha Airport has two types of airline lounges operated by JAL, both located within the restricted area past security.

JAL Sakura Lounge
- Location: Domestic Terminal, 2nd floor (past security)
- Hours: 6:10 AM until the last flight departs
- Eligibility: JAL domestic/international First Class passengers, international Business Class passengers, JMB Diamond, JGC Premier, JMB Sapphire, and JAL Global Club (JGC) members, JMB Crystal members, and oneworld Emerald/Sapphire elite status holders
Its biggest draw is free-flowing draft Orion Beer from a tap. Awamori is also available. However, no meals are served — only individually packaged snacks — so if you’re hungry, it’s best to eat at one of the airport’s restaurants before entering. Every seat has power outlets and USB ports, and high-speed Wi-Fi is available.

Diamond Premier Lounge
- Location: Domestic Terminal, 2nd floor (directly past a dedicated security checkpoint)
- Hours: 6:10 AM until the last flight departs
- Eligibility: JAL domestic/international First Class passengers, JMB Diamond and JGC Premier members, and oneworld Emerald elite status holders
This is JAL’s top-tier lounge, connected directly to its own dedicated security checkpoint. Unlike the Sakura Lounge, it has a substantial food selection, including purple sweet potato bread from local Okinawan favorite Jimmy’s, JAL’s special baked curry bread, rice balls, soup, and miso soup. The beer taps also pour a total of four varieties, including Orion Beer, Yebisu, and Premium Malt’s, all free-flowing.
Domestic Airline Lounges: ANA LOUNGE & ANA SUITE LOUNGE
Naha Airport’s ANA lounges were designed under the concept “Ichigo, Ichie” (one time, one meeting) by architect Kengo Kuma, and come in two types.
ANA LOUNGE

- Location: Domestic Terminal, 2nd floor, beside departure gate C (past security checkpoint C, near gate 31)
- Hours: 6:05 AM until the last flight departs
- Eligibility: ANA Premium Class passengers, ANA Diamond Service members, ANA Platinum Service members, Super Flyers Card (SFC) members plus one companion, Star Alliance Gold members plus one companion, and Million Milers (2 million+ lifetime miles)
The lounge features a bright design using Japanese sen wood, with free-flowing Orion Beer and awamori. Facilities are also extensive, including restrooms, an accessible restroom, a nursing room, a diaper-changing station, a smoking area, a phone booth, copy/fax services, and baggage lockers. No meals are served (snacks only), so if you’re hungry, it’s best to pick up a boxed meal from an airport shop beforehand.
ANA SUITE LOUNGE

- Location: Domestic Terminal, 2nd floor (directly connected to a dedicated security checkpoint)
- Eligibility: ANA Diamond Service members, Million Milers (2 million+ lifetime miles), and holders of an ANA SUITE LOUNGE voucher
This is ANA’s top-tier lounge, with wide seat spacing for a more private feel. One special perk found only here is all-you-can-eat Blue Seal ice cream (vanilla, purple sweet potato, and more). The food menu is also substantial, with Jimmy’s bread, rice balls, and hot soup — enough that you may not need to stop at a restaurant at all.
International Lounge: Lounge Ryurin
- Location: International Terminal, 4th floor (within the restricted area, past immigration)
- Hours: 8:45 AM–9:20 PM (hours align with each airline’s departures; may close during periods with fewer flights)
- Eligibility: Business Class passengers or elite members of China Airlines, Asiana Airlines, Korean Air, China Eastern Airlines, and others
In addition to light meals like sandwiches, Danish pastries, cup noodles, soup, and grilled rice balls, alcoholic drinks including Orion Beer, awamori, and wine are all free. Located high up on the 4th floor, its large windows offer a panoramic view of the runway and the sea beyond — one of its biggest draws. Although several airlines share this lounge, eligibility is limited, so it rarely gets crowded and stays quiet.
Recommendations by Purpose
Gold Cardholders: LOUNGE HANA Is the Obvious Choice
If you hold a gold-tier credit card or above, you can use LOUNGE HANA for free — no airline elite status required. Since the renovation increased seating by about 2.5 times, it’s less crowded than before. That said, it can still get busy during peak seasons like Obon and Golden Week, so arriving early is recommended.
JAL/ANA Elite Members: Head to the Airline Lounges
If you hold elite status such as JGC or SFC, the airline lounges are your best bet. Drinks, including alcohol, are free, and since they’re located within the restricted area past security, getting to your boarding gate is quick and easy. They also open as early as 6 AM, making them suitable for early-morning flights. Keep in mind that LOUNGE HANA doesn’t open until 8:00 AM, so for very early flights, an airline lounge may be your only option.
If You Want a Taste of Okinawa
For free-flowing Orion Beer, try the JAL Sakura Lounge or ANA LOUNGE. For all-you-can-eat Blue Seal ice cream, ANA SUITE LOUNGE is the pick. For a proper meal like Jimmy’s bread, the Diamond Premier Lounge is your best option.
No Card, No Status?
You can still enter LOUNGE HANA for ¥1,320 as an adult. As mentioned earlier, if you have more than an hour to wait before boarding, it can offer better value than a cafe.
NearMe Is Also a Great Way To and From Naha Airport!

When heading to Naha Airport, consider using NearMe, which picks you up from anywhere and takes you straight to the airport with no transfers.
Overview
NearMe is a flat-rate shuttle service that picks you up directly from your home, hotel, or any location of your choice and takes you straight to the airport. It has served over 1.45 million bookings, with a rider satisfaction score of 4.6/5.0 (based on results from October 2019 to May 2025). With “shared rides,” where you ride alongside other passengers, you can save up to 80% compared to a regular taxi.
- Shared ride: from ¥980 per person
- Private ride (flat-rate hired car): from ¥5,480 per vehicle
How to Use It & Pricing
Between Kokusai-dori and Naha Airport, you can expect the following pricing and travel times:
| Mode of transport | Approx. price | Travel time | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| NearMe (shared ride) | About ¥980 | About 15 min+ | Includes highway tolls, door-to-door |
| Limousine bus | About ¥240 | About 15 min+ | Requires travel to/from and waiting at the bus stop |
| Taxi | About ¥1,600 | About 15 min+ | Poor value for 1–3 people; dispatch and highway fees extra |
| Private car | About ¥2,320 | About 15 min+ | Dispatch and highway fees extra; risk of full parking |
Pricing by pickup/drop-off area is as follows (per-person price for shared rides):
| Pickup/drop-off area | NearMe | Reference taxi price |
|---|---|---|
| Naha City | From ¥980 | From ¥3,000 |
| Urasoe City, Ginowan City | From ¥1,980 | From ¥4,000 |
| Chatan Town, Nishihara Town, Kitanakagusuku Village, Nakagusuku Village | From ¥2,980 | From ¥5,000 |

| Onna Village, Kin Town, Ginoza Village | From ¥10,800 | From ¥8,000 |
To be candid, in areas north of Onna Village, a taxi can work out cheaper. In areas close to the airport, such as Naha, Urasoe, and Ginowan, NearMe is significantly cheaper than a taxi, but if you live further away, it’s worth comparing against a taxi as well.
