Plan Description

Leave Nagoya in the morning and drive to Ise. You visit Geku, the Outer Shrine, first, then Naiku, the Inner Shrine, in the order Japanese pilgrims have followed for centuries. Cross Uji Bridge, walk the gravel approach under old cedars, rinse your hands in the Isuzu River and continue to the main sanctuary. Afterwards, Oharaimachi and Okage Yokocho are a few minutes away for Ise udon, tekone sushi and freshly made akafuku. Both shrines in one day, in the right order, without a single transfer.

For last-minute bookings, we will notify you of vehicle availability within a few hours.

Pick-up & Drop-off Points

Nagoya → Geku → Naiku → Oharaimachi and Okage Yokocho → Nagoya The 8-hour version can add Meoto Iwa (the Wedded Rocks at Futamiokitama Shrine). Pickup and drop-off points can be adjusted.

Important Notes / Cancellation Policy

If you are not at the pick-up location after your scheduled departure time, your booking will be automatically canceled.
Delays may occur due to traffic conditions. Please allow plenty of time when making your reservation.
If you wish to change the time or location, please cancel your current reservation and book again.

Cancellation Policy

Once the booking is confirmed, cancellation fees will apply under the following conditions:

Up to 3 days before the departure date: Free
1 to 2 days before the departure date: 30% of the total fare
On the departure date up to the scheduled time: 50% of the total fare
After the scheduled departure time: 100% of the total fare

FAQ

Q. Is there an admission fee for the shrines?

No. Visiting both Geku and Naiku is free of charge. The price covers the vehicle, your driver, fuel, expressway tolls, parking fees and tax; food and shopping in Okage Yokocho and optional shrine rituals are not included.

Q. How much walking is involved at Naiku, and what about our luggage?

From Uji Bridge to the main sanctuary is roughly 800m on a gravel path, so about 1.5 to 2km round trip. Your car waits in the parking area, so suitcases and coats can stay in the vehicle while you visit.

Q. Can we start earlier to avoid the crowds?

Yes. Ise Jingu opens early in the morning and both the approach and the parking areas are quietest soon after opening, so an earlier start such as 7:00 is worth requesting. Closing times vary by season, so we confirm the plan with you in advance.
